Guys,

A friend of mine is planning on doing the HONC this year, and is wondering what tyres to go for. I know a number of you have ridden it - any advice on tyre choice?

oh dear, my one ride you could have ridden with semi slicks, and having spoken with JP I think it can be pretty wet and miserable, Suppose he will have to keep an eye on the weather. Either way there is quite a bit of road and its bridleways are good. Sorry can't be of any more help, i am not really that geeky about tyres anyway!!
